Nedudim Project

The Nedudim Project is a Hamburg based musical collaboration between singer, guitarist and composer Kateryna Ostrovska (aka Rosa Morena Russa) and clarinetist Noam Carmon. Portrayed in the project’s name - Nedudim (the Hebrew word for wanderins), the Kyev and Jerusalem born musicians have both experienced migration and travelled the world in search of identity. Noam and Kateryna met at a Roda de Choro (a choro jam session) in Hamburg and quickly connected through the love of diverse folklore music styles as well as their common but different, Jewish heritage. Founded in early 2025 the project’s repertoire swings between borders and grooves between continents, combining Brazilian, Balkan, Klezmer, Ukrainian, Cape Verdian, Ladino, Russian, Yiddish and Israeli songs. Sowing together traditional tunes with original compositions bound by new arrangements the Nedudim Project brings to stage a mixture of ecstatic energy and emotional depth that keeps the audience fascinated and enthusiastic.
